  • Hospital network: eligible facilities and claims process

ILLUSTRATIVE TOOL / NO PRODUCT QUOTE

Make cost sharing
easier to see.

An illustrative example: deduct the deductible first, then apply percentage sharing to the remainder. Use it to understand the mechanism before comparing policies.

Bill − Deductible → Remainder × your percentage
Illustrative calculation · RM
Illustrative personal share: RM 1,450 / remainder: RM 8,550

Assumes the full bill is eligible. Actual contracts may use different deductible units, calculation order, benefit limits, cost-sharing caps and excluded charges. These are not modelled. This is neither a premium quote nor a benefit guarantee. Inputs stay on your device and are not sent with enquiries or analytics.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Questions before your next step.

01Is travel insurance enough for a long stay?

It depends on trip length, residence, extension, pre-existing conditions, planned treatment and return terms. Emergency travel cover should not be assumed equivalent to long-term health cover.

02Am I covered during a temporary return to Japan?

Check territory and home-country clauses. Emergency-only versus routine care, day limits, pre-authorisation and deductibles vary by contract.

03Does cashless admission mean nothing to pay?

No. Check panel hospitals, guarantee-letter approval, eligible treatment, deductible, cost sharing and excluded charges. A guarantee letter may still leave an amount to pay.

04How do deductible and percentage sharing differ?

A deductible is an amount borne first under the contract; percentage sharing allocates a proportion of eligible costs. Order, unit and caps depend on policy terms. Our example is not a product specification.

05How do pre-existing conditions and waiting periods work?

Underwriting, exclusions, additional terms and waiting periods must be checked through formal disclosure and policy documents. Coverage cannot be assumed. Submit health information only through the insurer’s process.

06Does renewal mean the premium stays fixed?

Renewability and pricing are separate. Age bands, medical costs and policy revisions can affect premiums. Check entry/renewal ages, notices and continuity conditions.

We propose coverage options and appropriate advisers around your stay, family and budget, and work through costs, out-of-pocket exposure and the application process.
