FEEL READY FOR YOUR NEXT CHAPTER
A life in Malaysia, around and after retirement
Look forward.Feel prepared.
You want to experience life abroad. But what if you feel unwell, or need your regular medication? Give those questions a place alongside the things you look forward to.
Discuss healthcare preparationsJapanese-language inquiries welcome, including early plans.

A conversation about your concerns. Room for the life ahead.
A LIFE THAT FEELS LIKE YOU
Keep the possibility open, with the right questions answered.
A suitable hospital. Communication during a visit. What your family should know from afar. Turning a broad worry into specific questions and named contacts can help you decide what comes next.
MAKE THE UNKNOWN MORE FAMILIAR
Three preparations to review before you travel.
Routine care and regular medication
Check relevant specialties, booking, language support, medication continuity and how medical information should be transferred. Providers decide on treatment and prescribing. Agree a secure channel before sharing clinical records; omit them from the public form.
Eligibility and the cover that matters
Review entry age, pre-existing conditions, waiting periods, exclusions and renewal terms. Check return visits and emergency evacuation in the policy, alongside premiums. Underwriting and claims remain subject to the insurer’s decisions.
Who to contact when plans change
Separate local emergency contacts, medical providers, insurance assistance and family communication. Confirm providers, hours and costs before travelling rather than assuming round-the-clock Japanese-language support.
Clinical care belongs with medical providers. Cover and underwriting belong with insurers. Discuss contacts and preparation with Bona.
YOUR WISHES. A CLEARER NEXT STEP.
You do not need to have every question ready.
Begin with finding care or understanding what to compare in insurance. Discuss Bona’s published relocation and insurance consultation scope and coordination with relevant contacts. Bona does not make clinical, prescribing or underwriting decisions.
Discuss healthcare preparationsBONA TRUST CORPORATION
A local point of contact for plans made from afar.
Bona Trust publishes contacts in Labuan and Kuala Lumpur and consultation routes for relocation, residency and Private Office matters. Confirm your named contact and engagement scope before proceeding.
Meet the team and company ↗Clinical, insurance, tax and immigration decisions remain with the relevant providers, advisers and authorities.
YOUR QUESTIONS, IN EVERYDAY TERMS
From a question to a next step.
Prepare contacts before you need them
List local care providers, insurance contacts and family communication separately. Distinguish routine appointments from emergencies and check providers, hours and fees. Discuss travel planning and coordination with Bona; clinical and emergency decisions belong to the relevant providers.
Build regular care into your stay
Put routine appointments and intended stays on the same calendar, then identify when referrals, records and prescribing questions need attention. Check medication availability and import rules with providers and authorities. Begin your inquiry by saying you want a relocation plan that includes regular care.
Look beyond premiums to eligibility, cover and renewal
Compare entry age and disclosures, pre-existing conditions, excluded costs, renewal and cover during visits to Japan separately. A lower premium may not match your needs. The existing insurance comparison page explains the questions and consultation route.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOUR FIRST STEP
Questions before your next step.
Can I obtain insurance with a pre-existing condition?
It depends on product disclosures, assessment and underwriting. Confirm eligibility, excluded cover and premiums individually. Neither this page nor an inquiry guarantees acceptance.
Will I be able to obtain the same medication locally?
Availability and prescribing cannot be promised. Confirm the active ingredient, local availability and required medical information with a provider, and check import rules before travel.
Is a Japanese-speaking hospital guaranteed?
It depends on location, specialty, availability and who provides interpreting. Japanese-language care or a particular partner is not guaranteed. Clarify your needs and Bona’s scope before identifying contacts.
Should I include my medical history in the inquiry form?
No. Your purpose and timing, such as discussing routine care and insurance, are enough. Share records or identity documents only after confirming necessity and a suitable secure channel.
