MAKE ROOM FOR THE LIFE YOU WANT
Retirement relocation administration and adviser coordination in Malaysia
Less time chasing answers.More room for your next chapter.
Visas, housing, banking and advisers back in Japan can turn an exciting move into another job. Connect the questions, people and sequence so you can make informed choices and leave room for the life ahead.
Discuss your relocation scope and costsJapanese-language inquiries welcome from the planning stage.
A LIFE THAT FEELS LIKE YOU
Prepare for a fuller life without filling every day with administration.
The real question is when and how your new life could begin. Knowing who answers each question and which answer must come before a commitment helps you choose where to spend your time. Keep trusted advisers in Japan involved while connecting the local work.
YOUR TIME BACK IN YOUR HANDS
Put responsibilities, sequence and decision points in one plan.
Prepare a reusable planning brief
Summarise timing, intended stay, housing priorities and open questions. Share only the information you authorise. Keep original documents and sensitive records separate, checking each recipient’s requirements.
Separate delegated work from your decisions
Applications, housing contracts and bank accounts have different providers and decision makers. Review Bona’s proposed coordination, external professional work and your own approval points alongside the quote.
Work backwards from your preferred date
Start with retirement, housing renewals and family dates, then sequence eligibility checks, documents, housing comparisons and commitments. Show approval and third-party waiting time separately, with alternatives if dates slip.
YOUR WISHES. A CLEARER NEXT STEP.
Make your time part of the relocation plan.
Tell us the life you want and where preparations have stalled. Discuss an individual sequence, responsible parties, costs and timing within Bona’s published relocation and Private Office scope. Confirm separately who contracts, submits applications and makes professional decisions.
Discuss your relocation scope and costsBONA TRUST CORPORATION
A local point of contact for plans made from afar.
Bona Trust publishes contacts in Labuan and Kuala Lumpur and consultation routes for relocation, residency and Private Office matters. Confirm your named contact and engagement scope before proceeding.
Meet the team and company ↗Clinical, insurance, tax and immigration decisions remain with the relevant providers, advisers and authorities.
YOUR QUESTIONS, IN EVERYDAY TERMS
From a question to a next step.
Assign responsibilities before contacts multiply
List the question, contact, next action and your approval for each visa, housing, banking and insurance task. Identify duplicate requests and stalled answers, then ask Bona to distinguish proposed relocation coordination from separately contracted work.
Record unanswered questions before signing
A Japanese-language contact does not mean interpreting accompanies every contract or appointment. Check explanation language, translation scope, contracting party and cancellation terms. Refer unclear clauses and the original text to a professional; confirm language support providers and extra fees first.
Review the people and contract before delegating
Use the published company information, team and contact details to identify the contact, then obtain the contracting entity, scope, fees, external referrals and complaint contact in writing. Bona’s published trust company licence supports its stated trust-company status; it does not establish authorisation for medical, tax or other separate professions.
Keep existing advisers in the plan
For Japanese companies, property and renewals, map current contacts, approvals and remote communication. Keeping your existing advisers, discuss who gathers local answers and who checks with Japan within Private Office’s published adviser-coordination scope.
Separate residency permission from tax questions
A visa alone does not determine tax residence or filing obligations. Give your tax adviser the proposed travel, housing, family and business arrangements, then include relevant-country questions, owners and response dates in the plan. Do not build a budget on assumed tax savings or non-resident status.
QUESTIONS BEFORE YOUR FIRST STEP
Questions before your next step.
Can Bona handle everything?
Do not assume a complete delegation. For each task, confirm Bona’s work, external-provider contracts and decisions or attendance required from you. Third-party approvals cannot be promised on your behalf.
Must I change my Japanese tax adviser or lawyer?
You can discuss coordination while retaining them. Distinguish their responsibilities from local gaps, then agree sharing authorisation, contacts and additional fees. Authorised professionals make legal and tax decisions.
When can I understand costs and timing?
State timing and scope, then request a proposal separating coordination fees, external fees and application or other outlays. Check pending conditions and exclusions; an approval date should not be treated as guaranteed.
Should I send documents with my first inquiry?
Timing and topics are sufficient initially. Do not put passports, account information, asset statements or confidential adviser material in the public form. First agree necessity, recipients and a secure transfer method.
